David's credits include the block-buster movie, Avatar
Founder / CEO
DAVID BENNETT
David Bennett has over 20 years of experience in the visual effects, performance capture, 3D gaming and virtual reality industries. He has played a major role in the development of facial animation, having managed the Facial Motion Capture team at Weta Digital. His credit's include: Avatar, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, The Adventures of Tintin, Beowulf, Monster House and The Polar Express. He has also provided facial motion capture supervision for more than 50 actors, such as Angelina Jolie, Anthony Hopkins and John Malkovich. During his career David has invented many new tools and techniques to streamline and enhance the capabilities of the internal technology. For instance, a Markerless Facial Motion Capture Solution, that eliminates the tracking process and learns from user input.
Most recently, David worked as a Business Development Manager and Technical Consultant for the popular Faceware Technologies product line. Previous to this, he gained further consultation experience with large visual effects companies such as Vicon and Animal Logic. David has won several business awards and has also conducted large seminars at Siggraph and the Bradford Animation Festival. Additionally, he has authored two provisional patents, one for a Robotic Skin and the other for an Artificial Intelligence Software.
